A grass field wouldn't fly in the Meadowlands. With two NFL teams, college and high school football games, a MLS team, plus other collegiate sports, a grass field would have been ripped apart.

They tried grass back at the beginning of the last decade. It was sarcastically called a field of "painted mud."

The problem with the turf is that it isn't turf! Put down some real turf instead of the carpet and play football the way it was meant to be played. The rug for a field they have in the Meadowlands is the only flaw of playing the Super Bowl there.

I think you ought to be a little more serious and up the ante $2.50 ($1.50 for the Giants, $1 for the Jets). That'll get their attention.

Also, I think my all-time favorite proposed naming rights deal was the one Pink Taco put out for the AZ Cardinals stadium.

It's not like it's the old concrete field artificial field. The Field Turf stuff is pretty realistic. From my experience, it's not obvious that it isn't grass until you start tugging on it.
